Quilting Bee

I went to my first quilting bee today.  It was the Homemaker's Club. 


I was invited by a woman who has become a dear dear friend in the last month from church.  Linda invited me to the bee because she  knows I'm so crafty.  I machine quilt, piece, embroider, applique, but I haven't done any hand quilting yet.  I quilted around the inside edge of one block.  Imogene was very smart and very patient with a brand new hand quilter.  Her quilting room was so peaceful.  Four of sat side by side facing the wall of windows overlooking the valley and mountains.  Amazing to watch the weather today.  A little rainy, some sun peeked out, and as the afternoon went on, we watched the clouds roll by, heard the thunder, and watch the torrential down pour.
