80 is the number of 4.5'' blocks I made for my Food quilt seen a couple of posts back. 72 is the number of blocks that came up short. Either all the way around or only on one or two sides.
Well, crap. I'm not ripping them all off and I hate the thought of adding borders; I've never had luck with that. As shown in earlier pictures, added borders won't really show up or make that much difference. I think I'm going to trim them down to 3.75 inches unfinished and then add a 1'' border. But I won't have to add borders all the way around on some of them.
I have another quilt pattern that just uses large rectangles and sashing. I may whip it up while getting ready to re-border 72-4 inch squares.
